Meet one of our partners, Andre Shinyashiki!

Andre is a Brazilian striker who started his journey at age 5 in São Paulo and became the all-time leading scorer at the University of Denver. A Hermann Trophy finalist and #5 pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, he made an instant impact as MLS Rookie of the Year with the Colorado Rapids. After stints with Charlotte FC and Neftchi Baku, he now plays in Bulgaria’s Premier League with Arda Kardzhali. Andre blends Brazilian flair with American structure — and now uses his experience to help us at Joga BSE navigate U.S. affairs and player outreach.

Meet Matheus, a founder of Joga BSE.

A former goalkeeper from Curitiba with 20+ years of experience, he now lives in Denver and manages Joga’s U.S. operations. As the main contact for American athletes and families, he oversees everything from program selection to logistics and finances. Matheus holds degrees in Financial Economics from Oklahoma Wesleyan and Accounting from the Federal University of Paraná.

He brings heart, precision, and a deep belief that “soccer is a powerful vehicle for personal growth… the values it teaches — discipline, teamwork, resilience — shape lifelong success.”
